The brief
A defined place to pause outside.
A slatted pergola and pale perimeter seating beside a bright green lawn surface.
The dark pergola frame creates a sheltered zone within the garden. Pale seating follows the rear and side edges, leaving the middle clear.
A green lawn surface fills the foreground, with a narrow line of planting beyond the seating. The contrast between the dark canopy, pale paving and green ground cover gives each part of the outdoor area a clear role.
Material edit
Dark framework, pale surfaces, green ground.
The open slats, pale seating and green ground cover define a simple palette for the garden corner.
